The project finds Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Plant and 27-time Grammy-winner Krauss reunited after fourteen years following the success of their first collaboration, Raising Sand, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, reached Platinum status, and earned six Grammys including Album and Record of the Year. Raise The Roof features twelve new recordings of tracks by Merle Haggard, Allen Toussaint, The Everly Brothers, Anne Briggs, Geeshie Wiley, Bert Jansch and more. Highlights include a Plant-Burnett original, "High and Lonesome," and the classic "Can't Let Go," written by Randy Weeks and first recorded by Lucinda Williams.
